APARTHOTEL ALSTERSUITE, Hamburg

The aparthotel is on a quiet side street in the St. Georg district, putting you within a short stroll of the main train station, the Alster lake, and city centre attractions like Miniatur Wunderland and the Elbphilharmonie. Hamburg Airport is 9 km away, easily reached by train from the nearby station. The area is packed with restaurants, cafés, and bars, all within a 5-minute walk. For car travellers, no on-site parking is available, but some free street parking can be found in the surrounding streets. The location works well on foot or by public transport.

Each of the three rooms is individually decorated with high ceilings, parquet floors, and a stylish mix of modern and period furniture. Rooms are spacious and come with a seating area, a work desk, and a flat-screen TV with streaming services. All rooms feature hypoallergenic bedding, a tea and coffee maker, bathrobes, and slippers. The private bathroom is not en-suite - it is located a few metres down the shared hallway and locked with a separate key. While the bathroom has a shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries, it can feel tight for larger guests. Some rooms face the street and can be noisy due to traffic, while courtyard-facing rooms are notably quieter. The building is an old property, so creaky floorboards and some noise between rooms is normal. No daily housekeeping is provided during your stay.

The aparthotel does not have a restaurant or bar, but a shared kitchen in the basement offers a coffee machine, crockery, a fridge, and basic cooking facilities - ideal for preparing simple meals or breakfast. Free coffee capsules are provided. The surrounding St. Georg district has numerous restaurants, cafés, and bakeries within a 3-minute walk, including Pho & Rice, Max und Consorten, and St. Georg Steakhouse. Breakfast cafés are also close by, making it easy to eat out.

WiFi is free throughout the property. Express and private check-in/out are offered, and the host provides detailed instructions via WhatsApp before arrival. Luggage can be left in the hallway or kitchen before check-in or after check-out at no extra charge. The shared kitchen downstairs is open for guests. The building has no lift, but all rooms are on the ground floor. No daily room cleaning is provided. Payment can be made by major credit and debit cards. Pets are allowed on request for an additional charge.
