ARCADIA GUESTHOUSE, Florence

The guesthouse is just 300 metres from Santa Maria Novella train station, making it an excellent base for rail travelers and day trips. The tram stop is directly outside, providing easy access to Florence Airport (Peretola). Major sights such as the Duomo, Piazza della Signoria, and Ponte Vecchio are within a 15-20 minute walk. The neighbourhood is busy and well-served by restaurants and supermarkets, including Salaam Bombay, Trattoria Dall'Oste, and Bar Arcobaleno, all within 0.5 km. The area behind the station can feel less safe at night, but the main tourist routes and public transport connections offer convenient and car-free access to the entire city. Car access is restricted by the ZTL zone, so parking off-site is required.

The property offers a paid breakfast buffet at €10 per person, featuring a continental spread of bread, pastries, yogurt, cold cuts, cheese, juice, and hot drinks from a machine. The variety is adequate for the price but not extensive. For a fuller hot breakfast or more choice, the surrounding area has a high concentration of cafés and restaurants - including Salaam Bombay, Trattoria Dall'Oste, and Bar Arcobaleno - all within 0.5 km. A supermarket (Sapori & Dintorni Conad) is also a 5-minute walk away for self-catering supplies. There is no in-room kettle or coffee-making equipment.

WiFi is free throughout the property. The 24-hour front desk can assist with late check-in, taxi bookings, and local advice. Express check-in/check-out and free luggage storage before check-in or after check-out are offered. Daily cleaning includes changing bed linen and towels (towels may not be replaced daily if the room is not serviced). Public parking costs €50 per day at a nearby garage - reservation is mandatory and the car cannot be driven to the entrance due to the ZTL. Safety features include CCTV, smoke alarms, and a safety deposit box. No pets are allowed. Accepted cards are Visa, Maestro, and MasterCard.
