ARENA HOSTEL & MONTEURZIMMER, Hamburg

The hostel is situated directly at Eidelstedt S-Bahn station, providing fast connections to Hamburg city centre (Jungfernstieg), the Reeperbahn, Hamburg Airport, and Hamburg Main Station. The area is industrial with limited dining options within walking distance; however, a restaurant is within a 5-minute walk, and a breakfast café operates in the same building from 6:00 to 13:00. A supermarket is also nearby. Free on-site parking with no reservation required makes it convenient for drivers. The S-Bahn runs all night on weekends, offering cheap airport access (€3.30); on weeknights, a taxi to the airport costs around €30.

Rooms range from private single/double/twin/triple/family rooms to 6-bed mixed dormitories. Private rooms feature a TV, seating area, fridge, and electric kettle; some have a private bathroom or balcony. All rooms include underfloor heating and large windows. Dormitory rooms are basic with bunk beds, lockers, and shared bathroom facilities. Noise can be a factor: some rooms face the S-Bahn line or have thin walls, and cleaning starts around 8:00. The property is older but well-maintained; some rooms have stained carpets or squeaky beds. For a quieter stay, request a top-floor room with a balcony. Dormitories lack bed curtains, so privacy is limited. Bedding is provided; towels are not.
