ASTORIA COMFORT ROOMS, Bologna

The rooms are directly across from Bologna Centrale, making it ideal for train travellers. The city centre and main sights like Piazza Maggiore, Via dell' Indipendenza, and MAMbo are within a 10-20 minute walk. Bologna Airport is 9 km away, reachable via the Marconi Express shuttle from the station. The area has many cafes and restaurants within a few minutes' walk. While the station location is extremely convenient for transit, the immediate neighbourhood can feel less secure late at night. For car users, parking is off-site and not reservable, so this location is best suited for rail and air travel.

Rooms are recently renovated and notably spacious, featuring private bathrooms with bidets and hairdryers, flat-screen TVs, wardrobes, and desks. Each room includes a coffee machine, mini fridge, and air conditioning. Single, double, triple, and family rooms are available. The units are located in a separate apartment building, not the main hotel. Some rooms face a busy road and can be noisy, though double-glazed windows help when closed. A few users noted thin curtains and noise from hallways and adjacent rooms. The lift is available, but some rooms may have no electrical points conveniently placed for the coffee machine or fridge. Cleaning is not automatic and must be requested by hanging a card on the door, sometimes at an extra charge.

Breakfast is served at the Astoria Hotel and includes a continental buffet with bread, pastries, hot drinks, and gluten-free choices. The cost is €10 per person and is not included in all rates. No restaurant, bar, or room service is available at the room buildings. Several cafes and quick-service restaurants (including KFC) are within a 5-minute walk from the rooms. The dining experience at the main hotel can be busy and limited in space, and for a fuller morning meal, guests may prefer to use nearby cafes.

Use of the gym at the Astoria Hotel is included. No pool, spa, or on-site leisure facilities are offered at the room buildings. The main hotel's reception can provide maps and taxi assistance for exploring the city.

Wi-Fi is free and functional throughout. Private off-site parking costs €18-€20 per day and cannot be reserved in advance. A lift is present. Reception is open 24/7 and staff speak five languages. Free luggage storage is available at the main hotel. Pets are not allowed. Accepted payment methods include major credit cards. Housekeeping is by request only and may incur an extra fee. No on-site restaurant or bar at the room buildings. All key collection, check-in, and tax payments occur at the Astoria Hotel.
