Atlantis Inn is located about one block from the beach, with the Tybee Island Marine Science Center just 5 minutes away on foot and the Tybee Island Lighthouse & Museum 4 km from the property. Guests can walk to more than ten casual dining spots, coffee shops, and souvenir stores within 0.5 km, making it easy to leave the car parked during the stay. Fort Pulaski National Monument is a 10-minute drive, and central Savannah is 30 minutes by car. No airport shuttle is available, so a car or taxi is needed for airport transfers. The area is also ideal for those who enjoy biking, kayaking, and walking to local events such as the annual Beach Bum Parade in May or the Tybee Pirate Festival in October.

Atlantis Inn offers a range of room types: King suites, Queen rooms with two beds, a Penthouse, and the themed Red Room with a spa tub for two, a dancer's pole, and a private balcony. Some units have a seating area and an inner courtyard view. The inn dates from the 1950s and has been renovated, though some rooms may retain a dated feel. Rooms include air conditioning, heating, and parquet floors; some have a sofa or futon. For those seeking a romantic atmosphere, the Red Room and several King Jacuzzi rooms (e.g., room #7 with a heart-shaped tub) are available. Pets (dogs under 6.8 kg) are allowed in designated rooms for an extra fee. No stoves or kitchens are provided. Standard rooms do not include a sofa bed.

Atlantis Inn does not operate a restaurant, bar, or breakfast service; guests should plan to eat out or bring their own provisions. The immediate area offers more than ten dining options within 0.5 km, including Wind Rose Cafe, Tybee Island Pizza, The Sand Bar, Benny's Tybee Tavern, Beachview Java & Juice, and Nickie's 1971, plus a convenience store and ice cream shop. Many of these are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and several offer takeaway. No in-room coffee makers are provided, so guests may wish to pick up coffee from a nearby café in the morning. While Atlantis Inn has no on-site pool, hot tub, or spa, guests can use the pools at three partner properties (Admirals, Dune's Inn & Suites, Sea and Breeze, and Sandcastle) within a two-block walk by showing their room key at the partner front desks. The main attraction is the beach, a one-block walk away with free public access. Tybee Island offers numerous activities including surfing lessons (geared provided, two-hour sessions), stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, parasailing, water skiing, and dolphin cruises with Capt Derek's Dolphin Tours. Golf cart rentals are a popular way to explore the island's streets, lighthouse, and shops.
