AVNI KENSINGTON HOTEL, London

The Avni Kensington Hotel sits on a quiet street in a desirable part of Kensington, yet Gloucester Road tube station (serving the Piccadilly, Circle, and District lines) is about 5 minutes away on foot. The Natural History Museum, V&A Museum, and Science Museum are all within a 10-15 minute walk, as are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and the Royal Albert Hall. The area is well supplied with supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, and cafes, making it easy to self-cater or eat out. For airport access, the Piccadilly line runs direct to Heathrow. The hotel has no parking, but the excellent public transport and walkability mean a car is unnecessary for most stays.

Breakfast is a continental buffet offering bread, cereal, cheese, ham, yogurt, boiled eggs, fruit juice, and hot drinks. The selection is limited and does not include hot items such as scrambled eggs, bacon, or sausages, nor pastries like croissants. The breakfast room can feel crowded and a voucher system is used; keep your breakfast voucher from check-in or request one at reception. There is no restaurant or bar for evening meals, but a coffee house is available on site. The surrounding area has numerous restaurants, pubs, and fast-food options within a few minutes' walk, including several on Gloucester Road. For those wanting a wider morning meal, nearby cafes offer alternatives.

The 24-hour reception offers concierge service, tour desk, and free luggage storage for early arrivals or late departures. Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas, although signal strength can be weak in some rooms, especially corner or basement rooms. Daily housekeeping is included at no extra cost, and fresh towels are provided each day. Paid services include laundry, dry cleaning, ironing, grocery deliveries, and airport shuttle or drop-off/pick-up. Security features include CCTV, key card access, 24-hour security, a safe deposit box, and smoke alarms. The hotel has a lift, but cleaning staff may block them during the afternoon. It is advisable to keep proof of payment if the booking was made in advance.
