AZURENE ROYAL HOTEL, Cannes

The Azurene Royal Hotel is set on a pedestrian street just 50 metres from the Croisette and the beach, with the Palais des Festivals and Cannes Harbour a 5-minute walk away. The railway station is about 10 minutes on foot, and Nice Airport is a 25-minute drive. The pedestrian street means no traffic noise, though nearby bars and restaurants can create some evening sound. For car-free exploring, the location is ideal: boutiques, cafés, restaurants, and the old port are all within a few minutes' walk. Public parking is available at the Palais des Festivals and in nearby garages, but there is no on-site parking.

Each room comes with air conditioning, soundproofing, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and a private bathroom (bath or shower). Rooms vary in size from compact to spacious, and some offer street or sea views. Certain rooms have carpeted floors and basic furnishings. Light sleepers may want to request a room away from the street. All rooms are on the first floor or higher and accessible only by stairs (no elevator). The overall feel is functional and practical, suited for short stays or budget-conscious travellers who prioritise location over luxury.

Breakfast is offered at Le Pastis, the hotel's ground-floor restaurant, for 10 EUR, and includes a hot drink, croissant or baguette with butter and jam, and fruit juice. For other meals, Le Pastis serves brunch and dinner Monday to Saturday, 08:30-23:00, with traditional French cuisine. Several other restaurants, bars, and cafés are within a 0.5 km walk - including Le Pastis Cannes, La Libera, and L'Atelier - giving plenty of dining variety in the immediate area.

Wi-Fi is free in all areas. Luggage storage is free of charge, ideal for early arrivals or late departures. Daily housekeeping is included. The front desk offers private check-in/check-out and an invoice service. The staff are known for being exceptionally friendly and helpful, often assisting with luggage up the stairs and providing personalised recommendations. Car hire can be arranged. Fax/photocopying is available for a fee. Security includes 24-hour surveillance, CCTV, and smoke alarms.
