B&B LA PIAZZETTA DELLE REGINE, Rome

The B&B sits in a safe, quiet residential district 1-3 minutes on foot from Policlinico Metro station. Line B reaches Roma Termini in 2 stops and the Colosseum in 4, making the city centre easily accessible without a car. Tram and bus routes also serve the area. Guests can walk to Sapienza University and Policlinico hospital in minutes, and the surrounding streets contain a supermarket, several cafés, bars, and affordable restaurants popular with locals. Rome Ciampino Airport is 24 km away; a paid airport shuttle can be arranged.

Rooms are fitted with air conditioning, heating, a private bathroom with shower, bidet, hairdryer, and free toiletries, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, soundproof walls, and a wardrobe. Each has a private entrance. Some rooms also include a private terrace or patio with garden views, a sofa bed for extra sleeping space, or a kitchenette for basic food storage. Despite the property's older furnishings and decor, the rooms are consistently clean and comfortable. Noise from an underground garage and road can be an issue, especially in rooms near the garage entrance - lighter sleepers may prefer a room facing the inner courtyard, which is generally quiet. Bed configurations vary: some double rooms use a narrow 140 cm bed, and quadruple rooms may have one double bed plus a sofa bed rather than two separate beds, which can be tight for four adults.

Breakfast is set out each morning in the shared kitchen and consists of packaged pastries, bread, crackers, toast, jam, butter, yoghurt, fresh fruit, sliced cheese and ham, cereal, and a coffee machine with tea and instant coffee. The selection is ample but entirely pre-packaged - no fresh, hot, or artisan options. Guests can also make use of the shared fridge and kitchen to store their own food. For a fuller breakfast, several cafés and a supermarket are within a 3-minute walk.

The property has a shared garden and an inner courtyard with outdoor furniture where guests can sit. Some rooms have a private terrace or patio with garden views, offering a quiet spot for a coffee or a drink after sightseeing. There is no further wellness or leisure infrastructure such as a pool, gym, or spa.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building. Daily housekeeping - including towel changes and bed-making - is included at no extra cost. The property offers a paid airport shuttle service from Rome Ciampino and Rome Fiumicino airports. Check-in is handled online via a smartphone app; guests must have an active internet connection and a mobile phone to access the building. Private check-in/check-out is available. No luggage storage is offered, so early arrivals or late departures should plan accordingly. Pets are allowed on request but charges may apply. The building has key access and fire extinguishers for safety.
