BECKETT HOUSE - APARTO, Dublin

The property is just off O'Connell Street, a main thoroughfare, giving easy access to the city centre on foot. Croke Park Stadium is a 13-minute walk. Connolly Train Station and several tram lines are within a short walk, providing direct routes to the city, the sea, and the airport. The immediate streets can feel rougher at night, but the building itself is secure with multiple key-fob access points. Nearby attractions include EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum (14-minute walk), Trinity College (16-minute walk), Dublin Castle (2 km), and the Irish Whiskey Museum (2 km). Several bus routes stop close by, and the Aircoach shuttle to the airport stops on O'Connell Street.

Accommodation ranges from small single or double rooms to 3- or 4-bedroom apartments. Standard rooms have a private ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower, and share a kitchen and dining area (with 5-6 other guests). The double bed is smaller than a typical double, described as a "small double." Rooms include a desk, chair, and wardrobe. Apartment units come with a fully equipped private kitchen (stovetop, oven, refrigerator, kitchenware, electric kettle) and a living/dining area. Rooms on upper floors are accessible by lift. There is no air conditioning; summer heat can be significant, and windows open only a few centimetres for ventilation. Soundproofing between rooms is limited, so street-facing or neighbour-facing rooms can be noisy. Some rooms have nice views from upper floors, especially on the 6th floor.

The property does not offer a restaurant, bar, or paid breakfast. A water dispenser (plain and flavoured) and a coffee machine are free in the lobby. Each shared kitchen is equipped with a stovetop, microwave, oven, electric kettle, and basic cookware, making self-catering straightforward. Many restaurants and takeaways are within a short walk, including Indian, Chinese, Korean, and Turkish options (e.g., Sichuan Chilli King, Lee Kee, Arirang, Dera Restaurant Dublin, all within 0.5 km). For a fuller meal, O'Connell Street and the city centre are a 5-minute walk away with a wide range of dining choices.

Leisure facilities include a shared gym with basic equipment, a cinema room for relaxation, and a roof terrace with panoramic views of Dublin - a popular spot for watching the sunset. A foosball table is available in common areas. The roof terrace and communal lounge areas feel underused, offering a quieter alternative to busy city spots. The property also has a laundry room in Block B (app-based payment). The gym and cinema are functional rather than luxurious, but provide a genuine on-site leisure option without extra cost.
