ST. AIDEN'S GUESTHOUSE, Dublin

The guesthouse is on a quiet, tree-lined residential street in the leafy and safe Rathgar neighbourhood. A bus stop with frequent services (routes 15 and 16) is a 4-5 minute walk, providing a 15-20 minute journey into central Dublin and a connection to the airport via the 16 bus or Aircoach. The city centre is also a pleasant 45-minute walk. Several cafés, restaurants, and pubs (including Howards Way, Kanum Thai, and The 108) are within 0.5 km, and supermarkets are less than 10 minutes away on foot. Dublin Airport is around 30 minutes by taxi or bus.

Rooms are available as singles (compact en-suite), doubles/twins (queen or two single beds), triples (one double and one single plus space for a fold-down bed), and a twin room. All are en-suite with showers (no bathtubs). Each room includes a flat-screen TV, electric kettle, tea and coffee making facilities, ironing facilities, heating, and free toiletries. Some rooms have a fridge and desk. Rooms are carpeted and feature comfortable beds and quality linens. Light sleepers should note that road-facing rooms may not be as quiet; rooms overlooking the back garden offer a more peaceful outlook. The attic room is available for longer stays. All rooms are accessed by stairs only.

The guesthouse does not have a restaurant or bar. Instead, a well-stocked shared kitchen is open daily for guests to prepare their own breakfast and light snacks. Complimentary supplies include cereals, bread, butter, jam, fruit, milk, eggs, cheese, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. The kitchen is intended for snacks and simple meals, not for large-scale cooking. For lunch or dinner, numerous cafés, pubs, and restaurants (Spice Guru Rathgar, The Corner Bakery, Kanum Thai, and others) are within a short 5-10 minute walk. Grocery stores are also nearby for those wishing to stock the room's fridge.

The property provides free WiFi in all areas. Daily housekeeping is included, with towels changed regularly. Luggage storage is available free of charge, which is useful for late departures. The shared kitchen includes a microwave, oven, hob, kettle, toaster, and complimentary breakfast supplies. A comfortable shared lounge with a TV and fireplace offers a relaxing space.
