BEST WESTERN WICHITA NORTH, Wichita

The hotel sits just off Interstate 135 in the Park City area of north Wichita, providing straightforward access to the highway for trips around the city and beyond. The location is practical for road travelers, with a gas station and several chain restaurants within a short drive. Parking is free and plentiful, with accessible spaces. For airport transfers, the hotel offers a free shuttle service. The surrounding area is more suburban than urban, so having a car is the most convenient way to explore, but the shuttle and highway access make car-free movement manageable for airport trips.

Guest rooms are generously sized, many featuring a sitting area with a dining table, plus practical amenities such as a microwave, refrigerator, tea and coffee facilities, ironing equipment, and a flat-screen TV. Wi-Fi is free and fast enough for remote work. The hotel offers a mix of interior and exterior-access rooms. Rooms with exterior doors may have gaps that let in noise and light from the parking lot. Air conditioning units in some rooms can be loud. Carpeted floors are standard. Bathrooms are private and include a sink, toilet, and shower; some have double sinks and a jetted tub. A few rooms have enclosed jacuzzi tubs. The hotel is pet-friendly, with dogs welcome. The decor is a mix of older-style furniture and recent bathroom renovations.

The attached Country Kitchen restaurant serves a free breakfast buffet that includes hot items, fresh fruit, and a full dessert buffet at lunch. The breakfast buffet is available for a small additional charge. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, offering a menu with American classics, including pizza, steak, and club sandwiches. Service is generally attentive and friendly. The restaurant can accommodate special dietary needs with advance notice. While the breakfast and lunch buffets are widely enjoyed, the dinner experience can be inconsistent in service and food quality. For evening meals, many guests choose to order in or dine at nearby restaurants.
