More than a dozen restaurants and cafés line the streets within 0.5 km. The tram stop adjacent to the building connects to all parts of the city, and e-scooters are widely available. The walk from the key office to the apartment can be 5-15 minutes depending on the building, so plan accordingly - especially if arriving with heavy luggage. Taking the shortcut from Central Station platform 34 shortens the walk to the office.

Beds are typically double or twin singles; mattresses are basic foam and pillows are minimal - one per person. Some units have sofa beds for additional people. The kitchen is very well equipped (stovetop, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, cookware, cutlery, glasses) but does not include condiments, oil, or cooking basics. Bathrooms have walk-in showers; some units have a washing machine (no dryer - drying rack supplied). Soundproofing is generally good, but windows facing the tramline or ongoing construction may let in noise. Higher-floor apartments in the Operakvartalet building are more spacious and often have better views and a balcony - request these if available.

The kitchen provides all major appliances and cookware, making it easy to prepare meals. Basic provisions like salt, oil, coffee, and paper towels are not supplied - the supermarket (Meny or Kiwi) in the same building or a minute away has everything. For eating out, the Barcode area offers a wide range of cuisines: Stock, Kitchen & Table, Nodee Barcode, Talormade (donuts), Bambus Sushi, Code, and Godt Brod (bakery) are all within 2 minutes. The Opera House and Munch Museum add more dining options within a short walk.

The rooftop terrace offers an elevated seating area overlooking the Oslo Fjord and city skyline - perfect for relaxing or an evening drink. The apartment does not have a gym, spa, or swimming pool, but the central location provides easy access to jogging routes along the fjord, the Ekebergparken sculpture park, and public saunas at the nearby fjord (about 10 minutes on foot). The Opera House roof, Munch Museum, and medieval ruins are all within 15 minutes on foot.

The Wi-Fi is generally reliable but occasionally requires resetting if it drops. Luggage storage at the office (Schweigaards gate 15 B) is free and available during office hours; for late arrivals, a keybox provides contactless self check-in. Parking is not on site; a public garage (Aimo Park/Bjørvika P-hus) is a short walk away and costs around 410-420 NOK/night with advance booking. The in-apartment washing machine (no dryer) allows easy laundry, but towels are limited - one set per person initially.
