BLUEWATER RESORT 1501, Myrtle Beach

The property is located on the oceanfront strip of Myrtle Beach, providing direct, step-free access to the sand and surf. The airport is a 5-minute drive, while the main boardwalk attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas such as Broadway at the Beach are a short 10-15 minute ride by car or affordable Uber. There is a convenience store within walking distance, and several dining options are within a few blocks. A car is recommended for families to conveniently reach grocery stores and broader entertainment. The area is walkable for short trips to neighboring resorts and the mini-mart, but walking after dark is not advisable due to safety concerns in the surrounding block. Security staff patrol the property and parking areas.

Units are individually owned and vary in size, layout, and condition. Most include a separate living room with a sofa bed, a private balcony (often with ocean views), a dining table, and a kitchen with stovetop, oven, refrigerator, microwave, and a full set of cookware and utensils. Bathrooms feature a bath and shower. Some units also provide in-unit laundry. While the general floor plan is spacious and well-suited for families or groups, the fit and finish of many rooms are dated, with older furniture, worn carpets, and occasional signs of wear. Condo cleanliness and maintenance can be inconsistent; some rooms have had issues with mold, unaddressed appliance faults, and pest sightings. Travelers who prefer consistent, modern accommodations should consider a hotel, while those prioritizing oceanfront space and kitchen convenience will find this setup practical.

Wellness and leisure facilities are a major reason to choose this property. There are multiple pools spread across the grounds, including an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, and a heated indoor-outdoor pool which is popular year-round. One outdoor pool features a basketball goal, making it a hit with children and families. Two hot tubs and a dry sauna are available for relaxation, though the hot tubs have occasionally been reported as overly chlorinated or needing cleaning. The fitness centre is small but functional, and the games room provides additional entertainment. The facilities are generally well-maintained, with a security presence and a DJ at the pool area on weekends (7-11 PM), which adds a lively atmosphere but may not suit those seeking early evening quiet.
