BONITA HOUSE, Bangkok

Bonita House sits in a residential alley off Samsen Road, about 1 km from the vibrant Khao San Road. Major temples like the Grand Palace and Wat Arun are within walking distance or a short tuk-tuk ride. The Phra Arthit pier for river boats is a 10-minute walk, providing a scenic route to other parts of Bangkok without traffic. A 7-11 convenience store is 5 minutes away, and several local restaurants and street food stalls are within 200 metres. The nearest bus stop serves lines 15 and 53. Don Mueang International Airport is 26 km away; taxis and Grab bikes are typical transport options. Note that taxis cannot drive directly to the hotel entrance; you must walk the last 50-100 metres through the alley.

Room types include single, double, twin, and family configurations with up to three beds. All have private bathrooms with shower, hairdryer, and toiletries, plus a balcony or terrace and work desk. Air conditioning is available only in selected rooms; others use ceiling fans, which can be insufficient during hot weather. Beds are firmer than average; an upgrade to a larger, softer bed costs around 100 baht per night. Some balconies face neighbouring walls. Bathrooms often have the shower above the toilet, causing wet floors. Storage is minimal - no wardrobes - and electrical outlets are limited. Daily housekeeping is not automatic; request at reception. Common areas include a shared fridge and hot water.

Bonita House offers a breakfast option at an extra cost, described as good value. The hotel itself does not have a full restaurant or bar, but the surrounding area provides numerous dining choices: casual eateries such as Aloha House (0.5 km), Street Fourth and Tara Eats (0.5 km), and more sit-down options like Green Garden Cooking School and De O'sha Restaurant (1 km). Street food vendors and a coffee lady operate nearby. The common area has a shared fridge, kettle, and microwave for self-catering. For groceries and snacks, a 7-11 is a 5-minute walk.

The property features a pleasant courtyard garden with lush greenery and a koi pond, a rare find in central Bangkok. The terrace and balcony areas offer seating for relaxation. There are no spa, fitness, or pool facilities, but the quiet garden is ideal for unwinding after sightseeing. Bike rental is available on site (inquire at reception). The nearby river pier provides access to leisure boat trips.

WiFi is free throughout the property and noted as fast and reliable. Luggage storage is available for an additional charge. Room service is offered (limited). Security features include CCTV in common areas and outside, key card and key access, and fire extinguishers. The hotel has a designated smoking area but is otherwise non-smoking. No pets are allowed. Check-in is from 14:00, check-out by 11:00. Reception operates from 8am to 5pm; outside these hours, contactless self-check-in is provided. The nearest automatic laundry is close by.
