CASA DAFNE IN CANTON DE FIORI, Bologna

The apartment opens onto Piazza Maggiore and Piazza Nettuno, placing you at the historic core. Santo Stefano Church and the Quadrilatero are within a 4-minute walk; MAMbo is 14 minutes on foot. Bologna Centrale station is a 20-minute walk (or quick by bus). Bologna Airport is 10 km away - use the paid shuttle or a taxi. The surrounding pedestrian zone is camera-monitored, making it safe and quiet for evening wanderings. The area is packed with restaurants, delis and gelaterias within 300 m - La Torinese 1888 and Osteria dell'Orsa are practical options.

The apartment contains 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom with walk-in shower and bidet, and a living area with seating. The kitchen is fitted with a stovetop, refrigerator, electric kettle and kitchenware. A tea and coffee maker, flat-screen TV with cable channels, ironing facilities and free toiletries are included. The parquet floor and soundproofed walls keep the room quiet despite the central location. The compact bathroom suits most - those taller than 1.80 m may find the shower cubicle tight. The mezzanine bed setup means the sleeping area is on a raised level, accessed via a steep staircase that is not ideal for young children. Overall the space is clean, well maintained and practical for couples or solo travellers.

A coffee house operates on site, complemented by a snack bar selling packaged items. Wine or champagne can be ordered (surcharge). Grocery deliveries can be arranged for an additional fee. For a fuller meal, the Quadrilatero market and dozens of restaurants - including La Degusteria di Officina del Gelato (0.5 km) and Osteria dell'Orsa (0.5 km) - are a short walk away. The kitchenette in the apartment allows self-catering for breakfast or light meals.

Walking and bike tours can be arranged at an additional cost, providing a guided way to explore Bologna's historic centre. Bike rental is available on site. Cycling is accessible off-site for independent exploration. Live sport events are broadcast for free in the common areas. Movie nights (surcharge) and pub crawls (surcharge) offer evening entertainment. Outdoor enthusiasts can find tennis courts and temporary art galleries nearby.

WiFi is free throughout the property. Luggage storage is available at no cost, allowing late departures to explore without bags. Concierge service and a 24-hour front desk substitute (via host) handle requests. Express check-in/out and VIP check-in are offered for an extra fee. Safety features include 24-hour security, CCTV, key card access and smoke alarms. The lift makes the first-floor apartment accessible. Shuttle service, car hire and bicycle rental are all available for a surcharge. A minimarket on site stocks basic essentials. Fax and photocopying are available (surcharge) for business needs.
