CASA PANIERI, Rome

Situated on a quiet street in one of Rome's most authentic and vibrant neighbourhoods, the apartment is surrounded by excellent local bars and restaurants within a 5-minute walk. Despite the lively area, the street remains quiet at night, allowing for restful sleep. Rome Ciampino Airport is 16 km away. The central location makes it easy to explore the city on foot, and the property's position scores highly for walkability.

The apartment offers a quirky and spacious layout with high ceilings and a cosy fireplace. It includes a fully equipped kitchen with a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, electric kettle, and kitchenware. The living area features a dining table, a seating area with a flat-screen TV, and a sofa bed that can accommodate extra guests. Bedrooms are well-sized with comfortable beds and quality linen. The private bathroom includes free toiletries. There is also a washing machine and ironing facilities. The decor is described as authentic and museum-like, adding to the charm. Garden views add a pleasant touch.

The property does not operate a restaurant or breakfast service, but the full kitchen with stovetop, microwave, coffee machine, and dishwasher makes self-catering straightforward. Within 300 metres, there are over a dozen highly rated trattorias, pizzerias, and wine bars - including Otello, Ombre Rosse, and Trattoria Da Lucia - offering authentic Roman cuisine in a lively setting. This combination works well for guests who prefer to cook some meals and eat out others.

The holiday home does not have a gym, pool, or spa. However, its central position in Trastevere puts you steps away from the neighbourhood's piazzas, artisan shops, and evening street life. The area is ideal for walking tours and soaking up Rome's atmosphere. The apartment itself offers a cosy, lived-in feel with a fireplace that adds warmth in cooler months.
