CATALONIA HISPALIS, Seville

The Catalonia Híspalis is positioned in a growth area of Seville, about 10 minutes by car from both the airport and the Fibes conference centre. A direct bus stop opposite the hotel provides routes to the historic centre, covering the distance in roughly 20 minutes. The immediate neighbourhood is industrial and less appealing on foot, with limited dining options nearby. The El Corte Inglés shopping centre is a short drive away, and Amate Park is a five-minute walk. Taxis and ride-hailing services are a practical alternative for reaching landmarks like La Giralda, Torre del Oro, and Plaza de España.

Single rooms measure 13 m2 with wooden floors and a full bathroom. Double rooms are spacious, include a fridge with complimentary water, and have satellite TV. Premium rooms (15 m2) feature a modern brown-and-beige design with a rain shower and makeup mirror. Terrace rooms (14 m2) offer a private outdoor terrace accessed via glass doors, ideal for enjoying Seville's climate. Triple rooms sleep up to three using twin beds and an extra bed. Family rooms (17 m2) are soundproofed and include twin beds plus pulldown bunks for children, a minibar, and satellite TV. Some rooms overlook an Andalusian patio. Several rooms have windows that open only onto an internal corridor, limiting natural light and ventilation. Road-facing rooms can be subject to traffic noise, and rooms near the kitchen may occasionally receive cooking odours through windows. In multiple instances, air conditioning has been reported as non-functional or poorly maintained.

The breakfast buffet (14 EUR) includes cheeses, cold meats, pâtés, eggs, sausages, cereals, jams, nuts, freshly baked pastries, natural fruit, gluten-free products, bread with tomato, and potato omelette. It is available Monday-Friday 07:00-10:30 and weekends 07:30-11:00. Room-service breakfast can be requested at an additional cost. The gastrobar serves a Mediterranean-influenced menu with meat, fish, pasta, snacks, and classic or innovative cocktails, open daily 12:00-23:00. Room service offers vegetarian and vegan options in addition to meat, fish, and pizza, also available 12:00-23:00. The evening restaurant operation can be inconsistent, with buffet service only when large groups are present; on quieter nights only à la carte is available. A welcome glass of cava and chocolates is provided upon arrival.

The seasonal outdoor pool is situated on the terrace and is open roughly from late March to early autumn. It is small but refreshing, with sun loungers and pool towels provided. The solarium area is laid out on the same terrace. The fitness centre is free to access and equipped with modern cardio and strength machines. There is no spa on site.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. The 24-hour front desk offers concierge, currency exchange, and tour desk services. Parking is available on site and costs 16 EUR per day (reservation required); the garage has a height limit of two metres and tight spaces. Semi-rapid EV charging points are available; the charging cost is 14 EUR. Pets are allowed on request and charges may apply; pets must not be left alone in the room.
