COMFORT INN INDIANAPOLIS EAST, Indianapolis

The hotel sits directly off the interstate, making it a practical choice for overnight stops, event travel (Indy 500, conventions), and quick access to downtown. The surrounding area is industrial and commercial rather than residential, with Arby's and Subway 0.5 km away and Skylight Bistro & Wine Bar 1 km from the property. Several other hotel chains are nearby, and gas stations and fast-food options are within walking distance. Parking is free and on-site, but the lot can become tight when work trucks are present. The location is well-suited for those driving into the city or passing through, though the immediate neighbourhood has been described as less polished, with bright parking lot lights and occasional emergency vehicle noise audible from rooms.

Each room includes a tea and coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, seating area, ironing facilities, air conditioning, and heating. Bed configurations vary: double rooms offer either one or two beds, and some rooms have twin-size beds rather than queens, so check bedding when booking. Renovations have brought updated furnishings and contemporary styling to many rooms, though some older rooms remain. The rooms are not oversized but are spacious enough for a comfortable stay, with practical amenities like a work desk and ample lighting. Room cleaning is provided daily, or every two days depending on stay length. Noise insulation is good within the building, but road-facing rooms can pick up traffic and siren noise from the nearby interstate. No rooms have balconies or private bathrooms, but the en-suite bathrooms are clean and include a hairdryer.

Breakfast is included for all guests and is replenished throughout the morning by attentive staff. Offerings include hot items, make-your-own waffles, breads, pastries, cereal, fruit, juice, and 24-hour coffee in the lobby. The breakfast area is kept clean and well-stocked. For lunch or dinner, the hotel does not have its own restaurant, but several options are within a short walk or drive: Arby's and Subway are 0.5 km away, and Skylight Bistro & Wine Bar is 1 km. The immediate area also offers gas stations with snacks and additional fast-food chains. Room service is available from the hotel for limited hours, and the seating area in the breakfast room is the main lounge space.

The indoor heated pool is open year-round and is a popular feature for families and children, though it is small and suited for leisurely dips rather than serious swimming. The fitness centre is free and contains standard exercise equipment, making it easy to maintain a workout routine. Both facilities are available during regular hours and are cleaned regularly. The hotel does not have a hot tub, spa, or sauna.
