COMFORT INN JFK AIRPORT, New York

The free hotel shuttle runs from 5am to 11pm, picking up and dropping off at Federal Circle (accessible via AirTrain from all terminals). For transit to Manhattan, the Q10 bus from outside the hotel connects to Kew Gardens, where the E/F subway line runs about 40-60 minutes to Midtown. Several fast-food restaurants and delis (Burger King, Wendy's, Kennedy Deli, etc.) are within 0.5-1 km but may not be practical to walk due to traffic and limited sidewalks. The immediate area feels industrial and is not pedestrian-friendly, especially after dark. Guests arriving after 11pm will need a taxi or rideshare. Driving is complicated by one-way streets and the lack of on-site parking; the paid lot across the street is the main option. The location is best suited for JFK layovers, overnight stays before flights, and travellers reliant on the hotel's shuttle.

Room sizes are compact-typical for an airport hotel-with limited floor space when both beds are fully used. The bathroom is small and designed for one person at a time, with a shower/tub combination. A work desk and chair are provided. Noise from the nearby sanitation depot and truck traffic can be noticeable, especially in rooms on that side; light sleepers should request a room away from that orientation and away from outdoor speakers. Early-morning luggage movement in corridors is also audible. Daily housekeeping keeps rooms tidy, and beds are comfortable. There is no microwave in the room, but a communal microwave is available in the lobby. The compact layout works well for one-night layovers or short stays, but longer stays may feel cramped. No private bathrooms beyond the en-suite-each room has its own bathroom.
