CORONADO ISLAND INN, San Diego

The motel is situated at 301 Orange Avenue, placing you within a short walk of Coronado Beach (2 km), the ferry landing, and numerous restaurants and shops on Orange Avenue. The San Diego International Airport is 10 km away. The area is highly walkable and bike-friendly, with complimentary bicycle rentals available on-site. For downtown San Diego, the ferry is a practical car-free option, or you can drive to the Gaslamp Quarter in about seven minutes.

Standard rooms feature a queen bed, while two-bed suites come with two double beds and are suitable for families. Full kitchen suites include a full-size refrigerator, oven, and stove top. Note that rooms are not updated and some feel dated; road-facing rooms can be noisy for light sleepers. No rooms have balconies. Towels, cups, and coffee must be requested from the check-in office across the street.

The hotel does not have a restaurant, but the surrounding area offers numerous dining options within a block or two, including Saiko Sushi (1 block), Nicky Rottens (1 block), Tartine (2 blocks), and the Coronado Brewing Company (0.5 km). The pool is located across the street from the main property. It features a fence around it and towels are provided. Complimentary bicycle rentals are available for exploring the island and nearby beaches. A barbecue area by the pool offers additional relaxation options.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. Private parking requires a reservation and costs $10 per night. Pets (dogs only) are allowed with a $25 per night fee and a refundable $250 deposit; emotional support dogs are exempt from the nightly fee with a physician's letter. No elevator, airport shuttle, or spa is available. Late check-in is possible via a lock box.
