The hotel sits in the central business district, a short walk from the Indiana State Museum, the Canal Walk, and several restaurants (Sahm's Restaurants, Le Peep, etc. all 0.5 km away). Lucas Oil Stadium is 1 km on foot, the Indianapolis Zoo under 3 km, and the airport 14 km. A Kroger grocery store is one block away, and the property is accessible to downtown venues and the IUI/PUI campus. For those driving, on-site parking costs US$33 per night; an airport shuttle is not available.

Rooms are generally large and clean, equipped with a flat-screen TV, tea/coffee facilities, ironing board, and carpeted floors. Some units show signs of age (faded tub, older TVs) and the air conditioning can be inconsistent in cooling. Noise from upper floors and hallways may be noticeable, especially in rooms near the elevator and on the second floor. Rooms with a balcony are not available. The sofa bed provides extra sleeping space, but comfort varies. For quieter stays, request a higher floor away from the elevator.

The Bistro serves an American buffet breakfast (US$15, not included) and à la carte dinner with a cocktail menu. Note that the pool has been subject to maintenance closures without warning, so checking its status ahead of time is advisable. The fitness centre is free and equipped with cardio and strength machines. Outside, a terrace, picnic area, and outdoor furniture are available. Free bicycle rental allows easy exploration of the nearby Canal Walk and downtown.
