DAYS INN BY WYNDHAM CALGARY SOUTH, Calgary

The hotel sits along a major arterial road, giving easy car access to downtown, the Stampede Grounds (1 stop on the C-Train), and the GMC Stadium. The area has many dining options within a half-kilometre: Tim Hortons, McDonald's, Taiko Canteen and Bar, Paddy's Barbecue & Brewery, and My Donair & Pizza. The Chinook Center Mall is 3 km away. While the location is convenient for public transit and driving, the immediate industrial surroundings feel less pedestrian-friendly at night. The C-Train station's proximity makes car-free exploration of downtown and the Calgary Tower straightforward.

Standard rooms offer a king or queen bed with private bathroom; the 2-Queen Suite adds a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, and toaster. Rooms are generally clean and have comfortable beds, but the property is older and some rooms show wear - dated furniture, worn carpets, and small bathrooms are common. Some rooms face the road or are adjacent to connecting doors, which can admit hallway and external noise. Rooms without an elevator require climbing stairs. A roll-away bed is available in certain room types. The air conditioning unit near the bed can be noisy. Windows cannot be opened. For a quieter stay, request a room away from the elevator and stairwell.

The breakfast room is compact and can become crowded during peak hours (8:00-9:30 AM). Breakfast runs until 10:00 AM. Breakfast is included in the rate, and the buffet offers a consistent yet repetitive selection each day. For a paid meal, The Buckle Room Bar & Grill is open for dinner Tuesday-Saturday, serving international cuisine. The restaurant also offers kid-friendly buffet options. Guests wanting a wider variety or gluten-free items will not find them at breakfast; nearby Taiko Canteen and Paddy's Barbecue & Brewery are within a 5-minute walk for alternative evening dining.

Parking is free and does not require a reservation; both main lot and underground parking are available. The business centre offers free fax/photocopying and meeting facilities for an additional charge. The on-site laundry room charges C$3 per load for washer and dryer. Luggage storage is free and available after checkout, which is helpful for late flights. Vending machines for snacks and drinks are located in the lobby. A 24-hour front desk provides express check-in/out. Key card access and CCTV are used throughout the property. The elevator serves all floors but may experience maintenance issues. The hotel has facilities for disabled guests, including accessible parking.
