The iconic Malecón, a lively seaside promenade with sculptures, bars, and outdoor events, is a few minutes on foot. The resort is 12 km (20 minutes by taxi) from Lic. Gustavo Díaz Ordaz Airport. Nearby attractions include the Arcos del Malecón, Los Muertos Pier, and the Puerto Vallarta International Convention Centre (11 km). The surrounding streets are flat and easy to walk, with hundreds of restaurants, cafés, boutiques, and galleries within a five-minute radius. Taxis and private transfer services are readily available.

The property offers two distinct accommodation experiences. The Adults Only tower (also called Vista Pier) contains the Junior Suites, featuring modern renovations, spacious interiors, large balconies with frontal ocean views, king or queen beds, Nespresso coffee machines, mini-refrigerators, in-room safes, flat-screen TVs, and daily evening turndown service with fresh towels and bottled water. Rooms in the family side are older, more basic, and vary significantly: some have balconies with lateral sea or mountain views, while others may have no table or only one chair. Bedding is firm, and room condition can be dated - the highest-standard sleeping experience is consistently in the Adults Only tower. Air conditioning is standard, but units in older rooms can be noisy. Standard Double and King rooms contain double beds (130 cm), while the Luxury LGBT room features a 190 cm double bed.

Vista Vela is the primary dining venue, located directly on the beachfront. It serves breakfast (eggs cooked to order, fresh fruit, good coffee), as well as a lunch and dinner menu with fresh seafood. The All-Inclusive plan includes a buffet that, while adequate, is described as repetitive and limited in variety. À la carte options are available and generally considered higher quality. All-Inclusive drinks are limited to beer, wine, and tequila-based cocktails; the bar operates from 11:00 to 21:30. Drinks are served at the beach - including chips, guacamole, and fish tacos - and the staff is noted as attentive. The restaurant's patio offers an excellent view of the pier and ocean. For guests who prefer flexibility, the surrounding area is rich with excellent dining options within a short walk.

There are several pool areas. The main family pools are often busy with children. A dedicated Adults Only pool (21+) is located next to the Vista Pier bar and restaurant, offering a quiet, child-free environment with loungers and an infinity edge. This pool is exclusive to guests staying in the Adults Only tower. Beachfront access is direct via a gate through the restaurant, and palapas (shaded loungers) are reserved for hotel guests. Beach service includes drink and food delivery. The hotel also arranges tours and excursions.

Free Wi-Fi is available, but signal strength is limited almost exclusively to common areas - it is not reliably accessible inside guest rooms. The 24-hour front desk staff are bilingual (English and Spanish) and can assist with taxis, tour bookings, and general queries. The concierge team in the Adults Only tower is consistently praised for friendly and attentive service. Luggage storage is available for early arrivals or late departures. Daily housekeeping is provided; bottled water and coffee pods (limited to two per day) are replenished. Room service is not available. The property has elevators serving all floors.
