HOTEL DU CHAMP DE MARS, Paris

The 7th arrondissement location places you in a safe, residential neighborhood with an exceptional range of bakeries, grocery stores (including an Aldi), cafés, and restaurants on Rue Cler and nearby streets. The Eiffel Tower is within easy walking distance, and major attractions like Les Invalides (700 m) and the Rodin Museum (15 min walk) are also walkable. The closest metro stations are a 3-5 minute walk, providing direct access to lines 8, 13, and the RER C for trips to Versailles or the airport. Public parking at Indigo Ecole Militaire (€36/day) is a 5-minute walk. For airport transfers, fixed-rate taxis cost €60-65 from CDG, and the hotel can arrange a private car service.

All rooms include a fan, telephone, hairdryer, free toiletries, and a safety deposit box. The double rooms feature either a courtyard view or a street view; a few rooms on the upper floors (21, 31, 35, 41, 45) have a direct Eiffel Tower view-availability should be confirmed at booking. Bed sizes are standard for Paris; the beds receive consistent praise for comfort. Bathrooms are modern with good shower pressure. Rooms are on the small side and storage space is limited (one wardrobe), which suits short stays or travellers who pack light. There is no coffee/tea maker in the rooms, but a communal fridge is available in the kitchen for guest use. The hotel is fully non-smoking and serviced by a lift.

Breakfast includes fresh croissants and baguette from the nearby Rue Cler bakery, butter, jam, yogurt, fruit cocktail, fresh orange juice, and coffee or tea. The selection is classic French and consistent; while it lacks hot dishes or cold cuts, the quality of the bread and pastries is praised. Breakfast is served from 07:30. For lunch and dinner, the surrounding streets offer an abundance of bistros, cafés, and brasseries-many within a two-minute walk. A fridge is available in the kitchen should you wish to store items from the local markets. No other dining facilities are available on-site.
