EASYHOTEL VALENCIA CIUTAT VELLA, Valencia

The hotel sits at the edge of the old town, placing the Valencia Cathedral, Basilica de la Virgen de los Desamparados, and the central market all within a 15-minute walk. The Valencia Botanical Gardens are 300 metres away. The metro station is about 5 minutes on foot, making the journey from Valencia Airport (8 km) straightforward without a car. Several supermarkets, bars, and restaurants are on the same block. The Valencia Train Station is also less than 1 km away, and the Church of Saint Nicolás is within that same radius.

Rooms at this easyHotel are practical and modern, designed for short stays and city exploration. All have a private bathroom with a shower, free toiletries, air conditioning, heating, and soundproofing. Floor-to-ceiling windows cannot be opened, so ventilation is via the air conditioning system. Courtyard-facing rooms receive little natural light; road-facing rooms are well-insulated from street noise. The double bed measures 160 cm, suitable for one adult plus a small child. Storage is limited - there are a few hangers and a small stool but no wardrobe. The room size is compact but efficient, with space to open a suitcase under the bed. Extra pillows, towels, or a hairdryer are available from reception on request.

The breakfast buffet serves fresh pastries, bread, cheese, cold meats, fruit, juice, coffee, and tea. It is described as sufficient and good value for the price, with items restocked regularly. There is no on-site restaurant or bar for lunch or dinner, but vending machines in the lobby offer drinks and snacks. The surrounding block has numerous restaurants and cafés within a 3-minute walk, and the central market is a 5-minute walk away for fresh food and groceries.

The 24-hour front desk handles late arrivals and early departures smoothly. Luggage storage costs €5 per bag, useful for exploring before check-in or after check-out. Daily housekeeping is not automatic - rooms are cleaned every 4-6 nights, but the service can be requested at reception at no extra charge. A filtered water refill station in the lobby is free. On-site private underground parking costs €18 per day, with an electric vehicle charging station and accessible parking spaces. Pets are allowed: a dog costs €10 per night. The hotel has a lift, wheelchair-accessible rooms, and emergency cords in bathrooms. Accepted payment methods include Visa and MasterCard.
