FOREST PARK HOTEL, Saint Louis

The hotel sits on a main road adjacent to the freeway, giving easy car access to downtown St. Louis, Forest Park, and the Central West End. Barnes-Jewish Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital are within a 10-minute drive. The historic Italian neighborhood The Hill and several restaurants are a short walk or drive. Public transport includes a bus stop nearby for the zoo and museums. The freeway location means traffic noise is audible, so lighter sleepers should request a room away from the highway.

Double and single rooms are available, both with a view of the outdoor pool. Rooms include a work desk, wardrobe, ironing facilities, and free toiletries. Some units add a sofa bed, microwave, and small fridge. Carpeting and furnishings show wear, but beds are consistently reported as comfortable. Bathrooms have either a walk-in shower or tub. Certain rooms have connecting doors. The elevator has been noted to be slow and noisy. Housekeeping is provided daily upon request. Balcony rooms offer a place to sit outside, though patio doors may not seal completely in older units.

The outdoor pool is open daily from 10:00 to 21:00 during the summer months (approximately Memorial Day through Labor Day). It offers a poolside view and is unfenced but accessible. There is no hot tub or indoor pool. The property does not have a gym, sauna, or on-site recreational activities. An ice-skating rink is located in the surrounding area (not on property). For staying active, the nearby Forest Park has extensive walking trails and sports facilities.

Parking is free on-site with no need for a reservation. WiFi is free throughout the property. The 24-hour reception offers private check-in/out and an ATM. Daily housekeeping is provided on request; laundry service is available for an additional fee. The business centre includes fax/photocopying and meeting/banquet facilities for a charge. Vending machines provide snacks. Accessibility features include wheelchair-accessible rooms with lower sinks, raised toilets, grab rails, and visual aids in Braille and tactile signs. Pets are allowed for a $50 non-refundable fee. The elevators have reported operational issues, and some rooms lack a telephone for contacting the front desk.
