The apartment is located on McDonald Road, a quiet residential street yet close to the city centre. Edinburgh Playhouse is 700 metres away, and Edinburgh Castle is 3 km from the property. The area is safe and well-maintained, with a tram stop right outside providing quick access to Princes Street (10-minute ride) and the airport. Two supermarkets are directly across the street, and numerous cafés, pubs, and restaurants are within a 5-minute walk. For those on foot, the Royal Mile, National Museum of Scotland, and Camera Obscura are all around 20-25 minutes away. The airport is 10 km away, reachable by tram or taxi.

Internet access is free and reliable throughout the building. The lift provides access to upper floors but has been reported as occasionally out of service. A self check-in process uses a lockbox on the building's fence to collect a key card - this works for both the main entrance and the room. Reception is unmanned for most of the day; for issues, support is available by phone or through the booking platform chat. A standard cleaning fee covers initial cleaning, a starter pack of toiletries, bed linen and towels, but no daily housekeeping, rubbish removal, or toilet paper replenishment is provided. Luggage storage is not available on site. The building is non-smoking and has smoke alarms.
