FREMONT HOTEL AND CASINO, Las Vegas

The Fremont Street Experience, with its free concerts and light shows, is right outside the doors. Multiple downtown casinos and attractions are within a short walk. The area is very walkable, though the street-level noise from music and crowds can be constant, especially in evening hours. Public parking is not on site; the hotel offers free valet parking for guests.

Standard rooms are on the smaller side, typical of older downtown hotels, but renovations have modernized the bathrooms and furnishings. Beds are comfortable, but some find pillows thin. Rooms have carpeted floors and ironing facilities. Note that coffee makers may not be standard in all rooms, and microwaves are not available. Noise from Fremont Street can be significant, even on higher floors; rooms facing the street are especially loud. The air conditioning works well.

The food court provides casual, lower-priced choices like Steak 'n Shake, Dunkin', and Lanai Express (known for oxtail soup). Tony Roma's serves ribs and steaks with nightly dinner deals. Paradise Buffet & Cafe is open Wednesday-Sunday from 5:00 PM to 10:00/11:00 PM. Second Street Grill and The Filament Bar offer additional sit-down dining and drinks. Drinks are complimentary while gambling in the casino. Coffee from Dunkin' is available but can be pricey.

Valet parking is free and runs efficiently with friendly staff. The 24-hour front desk can handle check-in and requests. Luggage storage is available, but bellman service ends at 6:00 PM. There is no on-site parking lot; only valet parking. An ATM and safety deposit boxes are available. Wi-Fi in rooms costs USD 9.99 per 24 hours. Housekeeping must be requested daily before 10:00 AM.
