GALA ROOMS HOMESTAY - FREE PARKING, Edinburgh

The property sits on a calm street away from the city bustle, yet offers practical access: a bus stop is a 5-minute walk, with good routes to the city centre (about 30 minutes by bus). The Citylink bus from the airport stops near the house, making airport transfers straightforward. Parking is free and easy on-site; taxis to central landmarks are also affordable and quick. Nearby, local shops and a pharmacy are within a 5-minute walk. The area is well-suited for car travellers or those who prefer a quieter base while still being well-connected.

The double room offers one bed, a wardrobe, parquet floors, and a private bathroom with shower. The twin room includes two beds and a bathroom with bath. Rooms are clean, comfortable and well-equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, and a kettle with instant coffee, tea and sugar. The homestay is kept tidy and neat, with attention to detail: fluffy towels, comfortable beds, and a small welcome pack of shortbread. The property is basic rather than glamorous, but well-maintained. Road-facing rooms may hear some street noise, but the area is generally quiet.

The homestay does not offer prepared meals or breakfast. Light use of the kitchen is allowed for warming up ready meals, using the microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. The dining area is available for eating on-site. A nice pub is nearby for evening meals, and local shops and supermarkets are within a 5-minute walk for those who prefer to self-cater. For those wanting a fuller breakfast, several cafés in the surrounding area provide morning options.

The homestay is a private residence without a gym, pool, spa or similar amenities. The calm neighbourhood is itself suited to walks, and the city's attractions are accessible by bus or car. For relaxation, the quiet street and comfortable room environment serve as the main leisure feature.

WiFi is free and available in all areas. Free private parking is on-site and does not require a reservation - parking is directly in front of the house. Private check-in/check-out is offered for flexibility (note: check-in is until 23:00). The property is non-smoking throughout. No pets are allowed. The hosts are welcoming and can provide helpful leaflets and advice on transport and local attractions. For longer stays, kitchen access for light use is available.
