IBIS BUDGET LYON CENTRE CONFLUENCE, Lyon

Rooms are compact and functional - ideal for short stays or solo travellers. Bathrooms are clean and include a walk-in shower and free toiletries. The room layout is efficient, but luggage space is limited: there is no wardrobe, only a couple of hooks, so packing light or using under-bed storage is recommended. Bedding is comfortable, and windows are double- or triple-glazed, keeping outside traffic noise to a minimum when closed. Courtyard-facing rooms are noticeably quieter than those overlooking the busy main road. Air conditioning is installed in all rooms, though performance can vary; in warm weather, request a room on a lower floor or with courtyard exposure for better temperature control. Some rooms offer views of the Rhône or the Basilica. Certain double rooms can accommodate a baby cot; triple and twin rooms cannot.

The breakfast (€9per person) includes bread, pastries, cheese, ham, jam, butter, and hot drinks. It is a simple buffet suitable for a quick start to the day. For a more substantial meal, the on-site restaurant AUGUSTE is open for lunch and dinner Monday to Thursday (12:00-14:00 and 19:00-22:00) and for lunch only on Friday (12:00-14:00), serving French cuisine in a traditional-modern setting. A snack bar is also available, and several restaurants, pizzerias, and pubs - such as Pizza Vito, Rem's Pub, and Le Comptoir de la Confluence - are within a 5-minute walk.

The hotel offers a 24-hour front desk with concierge service and express check-in/check-out. Luggage storage is free of charge, allowing you to drop bags before check-in or after check-out. The property is wheelchair accessible via a lift, and accessible rooms are available on request. Pets are allowed for a €5 supplement. Security features include 24-hour CCTV, smoke alarms, a safety deposit box, and fire extinguishers. Business services such as fax/photocopying are available for an additional charge. Vending machines for drinks and snacks are located in the lobby. Note that the reception moves to the adjacent Ibis Styles hotel from 23:00 to 07:00 for late arrivals.
