GARNER HOTEL BERLIN - KU'DAMM BY IHG, Berlin

The hotel sits on a quiet side street in the Wilmersdorf district, roughly 300 metres from the Kurfürstendamm shopping boulevard. The nearest U-Bahn station, Adenauerplatz, is a 4-5 minute walk, and Charlottenburg S-Bahn station is about 13-15 minutes on foot. Berlin Brandenburg Airport is 29 km away; an airport shuttle is not available. The area is densely served by public transport, making the city centre reachable within roughly 30 minutes. Several restaurants are within 0.5 km, including Golden Phoenix, Adana Grillhaus, and Block House. For drivers, parking is available on site for €16 per day, but free street parking can sometimes be found nearby. The neighbourhood is calm and residential, offering a more relaxed base than the immediate Kurfürstendamm bustle.

Rooms have been recently refurbished in a simple, clean style with modern furnishings. Each room includes a private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries. Standard rooms measure 19 m2 with a single bed (90x200 cm) or twin/double options; Comfort rooms are 22 m2, offering two single beds with an additional sleeping chair. All rooms have soundproof walls, a work desk, a wardrobe, heating, a safe deposit box, and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Some bathrooms are small, and the shower may leak water onto the floor; bath mats are not always provided. No air conditioning is available, and top-floor rooms with roof windows can become hot in summer. Some rooms face the backyard and are quieter; rooms facing the street may experience some noise. For work stays, the free WiFi is adequate for average use but not high-speed. A kettle can be requested at reception.

Breakfast is served as a buffet with a good variety: juice, fresh pastries, cheese, fruits, and options for special diets upon request. The breakfast is priced at €12.50 on weekdays (Monday-Friday 06:30-10:30) and €17 per the data from the platform; weekend hours are 07:00-11:30. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but a snack bar and vending machines for drinks and snacks are available on site. Several restaurants are within a very short walk-less than 0.5 km-including Italian (Bellucci), Turkish (Adana Grillhaus), and steakhouse options (Block House). Lunch and dinner outside the hotel are easy to arrange via the surrounding dining scene.

No on-site wellness facilities exist. The property's value for leisure lies in its location: the Kurfürstendamm shopping street is a short walk away, and the Zoologischer Garten underground station (3 km) provides access to Berlin's major attractions, including the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church and the zoo. Boating is available in the surroundings. For longer stays, the hotel's central but quiet position makes it a practical base for sightseeing.

Free WiFi is available throughout the hotel, though it is suitable for average use only. The 24-hour front desk accepts various payment methods (American Express, Visa, Diners Club, JCB, Discover, Carte Blanche, MasterCard) and can provide invoices in a company name. Daily housekeeping is included, but a drink voucher is offered if you opt out of room cleaning. Luggage storage is free and available before check-in and after check-out, a useful facility given the 15:00 check-in and 12:00 check-out times. A lift serves floors up to the 6th; rooms on the 7th floor are only accessible via stairs. Safety deposit boxes, key card access, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and a security alarm are in place. Pets are allowed on request with possible charges. The hotel does not have guest laundry facilities, a restaurant, or a spa.
