GENT APT, Vienna

Situated in a basement-level building with minimal street signage, the location provides a practical base for exploring Vienna. The nearest metro station is about a 10-minute walk away, with trams and buses also nearby, making it easy to reach attractions like Vienna State Opera and Belvedere Palace. An ice-skating rink is also in the surroundings. Several restaurants and supermarkets are within a short walking distance. Getting to the airport for an early flight is straightforward. The area is generally quiet despite being well-connected, and the entrance code system provides access.

The property is not a private apartment or twin room but a single-room capsule hostel. It contains approximately 8 double-decker wooden pods, each accessible via sliding doors. The pods are designed for two people but lack locks, offering no secure luggage storage - only numbered lockers that also cannot be locked. The shared bathrooms are separated by gender and include a shower with a hairdryer and shampoo/shower gel. While the pods can be comfortable for sleeping and the rooms have air conditioning and heating, privacy is nonexistent. Noise from other occupants is common, and the pods do not block sound. The property is located in a basement with steep stairs; the entrance door may not close properly. Cleanliness and hygiene are inconsistent, and cleanliness of the common areas and bathrooms has been noted as variable. The property is best suited for budget-conscious travelers who need a safe place to sleep one night and prioritize location over comfort.
