HAMPTON INN & SUITES RENO/SPARKS, Sparks

The hotel sits off I-80 in a safe area, adjacent to Legends Bay Casino and the Legends Outlet Mall. Sparks Heritage Museum is 4 km away, and the Reno-Sparks Convention Center is 15 km from the property. A marina and walking trail are directly behind the hotel, offering a scenic loop around the lake. A broad range of dining options-including O'Cleary's Irish Pub, The Gramma Ginna's Restaurant, Olive Garden, The Habit Burger Grill, BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse, Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen, and Outback Steakhouse-are within 0.5 to 1 km on foot, alongside shops, a Target, and a movie theater. The area is walkable for most errands and outings, though the many roundabouts near the hotel can be confusing for first-time drivers arriving at night.

The breakfast buffet includes hot items such as egg white omelettes or frittatas, fresh fruit, yogurt, and pastries, with high-quality coffee. The dining area is spacious and can be used as a sitting area throughout the day. Coffee, tea, and bottled water are available around the clock in the lobby. There is no restaurant or bar on site, but a snack bar operates within the hotel, and numerous restaurants are within a short walk, including casual dining and fast-casual options. The breakfast area may become crowded during peak hours, and items can run low later in the serving window. Staff are generally helpful with accommodating early or special requests if available.

The indoor swimming pool is heated and open daily from 6:00 to 22:00, making it usable throughout the year. The fitness centre is well-equipped, clean, and spacious, rarely feeling crowded. There is no hot tub, jacuzzi, or spa on the property. A picnic area with outdoor furniture is available for relaxing outside. The Sparks Marina Park walking trail behind the hotel provides an excellent outdoor leisure option for jogging, walking, or cycling around the lake.

The hotel offers free Wi-Fi throughout the building. Guest services include a 24-hour front desk, express check-in/check-out, free luggage storage, and free safety deposit boxes. Coin-operated washers and dryers are available on site for guest laundry, and dry cleaning can be arranged for an additional charge. Daily housekeeping is provided. A minimarket stocks snacks, drinks, and travel essentials. The property is fully accessible with wheelchair access, lifts, auditory and visual aids, and grab rails in bathrooms. Pets are allowed for an additional charge. Electric vehicle charging stations are available for free. Parking is free but limited, with overflow at the adjacent Scheels lot for oversized vehicles or when the lot fills. The hotel has no restaurant, bar, or airport shuttle; front desk staff can assist in arranging transportation.
