HERNALS HOTEL, Vienna

The property is situated in a residential area with several restaurants, bakeries, and snack bars within a 5-to-10-minute walk, including Restaurant Martinschlossl (0.5 km) and options like Schrammelbeisl and Empanada Box (0.5 km). An ice-skating rink is also nearby. The nearest tram stop is a short walk away, providing direct routes to the city centre, while Vienna International Airport is 22 km from the property. The building has no exterior sign, making it harder to locate at first arrival.

Rooms are equipped with a tea and coffee maker, electric kettle, dining table, and wardrobe. Soundproofing is present but partitions between rooms are thin, so noise from neighbouring rooms and the hallway is clearly audible - road-facing rooms are especially exposed. Windows may not open, and there is no air conditioning, fan, or proper ventilation provided, so rooms can become stuffy. Many rooms are described as small, with bare essentials; common issues include a lack of a mirror, hairdryer, and sufficient electrical sockets. Cleanliness standards are reported as low, with dust, stains, and leftover items from previous stays noted.

The property does not offer breakfast, a restaurant, or a bar. Guests can find a variety of eateries within 0.3-0.5 km, including Restaurant Martinschlossl, Schrammelbeisl, Empanada Box, O'Sfizio, and Gasthaus Gosser, all of which are practical alternatives for meals and drinks. Planning for dinner or breakfast outside the property is essential.

Wellness and leisure facilities are limited to a shared garden and terrace. There is no pool, spa, gym, or similar on-site amenity. The garden provides a basic outdoor space for fresh air and informal relaxation, but guests seeking dedicated wellness or fitness amenities should plan accordingly.
