HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS & SUITES RALEIGH DURHAM AIRPORT AT RTP BY IHG, Durham

The hotel is directly adjacent to railroad tracks, so rooms facing that side may experience train noise, especially at night. For a quieter stay, request a room on the opposite side. It is about a 15-minute drive to the Veolia PPA pickleball tour venue, and provides easy access to both Raleigh and Durham city centres. The immediate area includes fast-food options such as Wendy's within 1 km, plus more restaurant variety in the surrounding business district.

Suites include a seating area, coffee machine, microwave, mini-refrigerator, and a private bathroom with a bath or shower and hairdryer. A wet bar is available in some suites. Double rooms have one or two beds, all with carpeted floors, satellite TV, and tea/coffee-making facilities. Some units have only 1 bed; bed type preference cannot be guaranteed on arrival. While many stays report clean and comfortable conditions, occasional inconsistencies in housekeeping and maintenance have been noted: some rooms may not cool effectively even with the AC set to 16 °C, and pests such as ants or stink bugs have been reported.

The breakfast area includes 24-hour free coffee and is well-regarded for its variety and quality. A kid-friendly buffet is also available. There is no on-site restaurant for other meals; however, Newton's Restaurant is about 1 km away and several restaurants are nearby.

The hotel offers free public parking on site with no reservation needed. Accessibility features include wheelchair-accessible paths, Braille and tactile signs, grab rails, and lowered bathroom sinks. Additional services include a business centre (free fax/photocopying, meeting rooms for a fee), daily housekeeping, and luggage storage. The shuttles picks up and drops off at the airport and businesses within a 8 km radius from 4 AM to 1 AM. Laundry and dry cleaning are available for an extra charge. A security deposit box and 24-hour CCTV coverage are provided.
