Ponderosa Park is 5 km, Drake Park 6 km, and Hollinshead Park 8 km from the property. The Lava Lands Visitor Center is about a 10-minute drive. While the immediate area is not walkable, several restaurants - including Bowtie Catering Company, Bend Sushi, and Southside Pub - are within 0.5 km. A Walmart and outlet shopping are also just down the road. The hotel's driveway exit can be hard to see at night, so drive carefully when leaving.

Double rooms offer one queen bed, while suites provide two queen beds; some suites also include a sofa bed. King suites have a sofa bed; standard king rooms have a chair. Most king rooms feature a stand-up shower; walk-in showers are only available in accessibility rooms. Hearing-accessible rooms with two beds are available. All rooms have carpeted flooring and a private bathroom with a bath and shower. The property is newer and generally described as quiet, though some rooms near the road or on lower floors may hear traffic or noise from adjacent rooms. The hotel aims to place families in rooms close to each other. Views from upper floors take in mountains and trees.

The complimentary breakfast includes scrambled eggs, omelets, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, fresh fruit, yogurt, cinnamon rolls, biscuits and gravy, and a pancake machine. Gluten-free bread is available. The coffee machine grinds beans for each cup and is available all day. The breakfast area is clean and well-stocked even during busy periods. For lunch or dinner, there are several restaurants within a short walk or drive, such as Southside Pub, Bend Sushi, and Bowtie Catering Company, but the hotel itself does not serve those meals. Vegan options are limited.
