HOLIDAY INN HOTEL & SUITES CALGARY SOUTH - CONFERENCE CTR BY IHG, Calgary

The hotel is in Calgary's south, within walking distance of Heritage Park and a short drive from Stampede Park and Calgary Tower. Deerfoot Meadows, with its dense cluster of shops, restaurants, and grocery stores (Ikea, Costco, Walmart), is two minutes away by car. Major roadways provide easy access to downtown, the zoo, and other attractions. The location works well for both car-based travelers - free on-site parking including an underground heated garage - and those using ride-hailing. An ice-skating rink is also nearby for winter recreation.

Rooms are soundproofed and air-conditioned, with carpeted floors, a work desk, and a flat-screen TV. Suites add a living area with a sofa bed, wet bar, and a second TV. Select suites feature a whirlpool jet tub and rain shower. Key room details: only king rooms and king suites have walk-in showers; rooms with two queen beds have tubs. Rooms do not have balconies and windows do not open, but the soundproofing keeps the interior quiet. All rooms include a small fridge and Keurig coffeemaker; kettles are available on request at the front desk. The property is newer and well-maintained, with spacious rooms that provide a comfortable and practical stay for both business and leisure. A limited number of pet-friendly rooms are available (king studio with sofa bed).

The on-site Pacini Restaurant and Lounge offers a family-friendly dining experience with Italian cuisine, available for breakfast (made to order from a menu), lunch, and dinner. Breakfast can be purchased for $20 (approximate) and includes a choice of items such as eggs, crepes, frittata, or eggs benedict, with coffee and juice. A Saturday buffet is also available. For other meals, the restaurant provides a menu of Italian dishes. Kids' meals and in-room breakfast are options. The bar serves wine, champagne, and other drinks. Nearby casual dining within a two-minute drive includes McDonald's, Denny's, Fatburger, and Jerusalem Shawarma, adding flexibility for quick meals.

The hotel's wellness facilities include an indoor swimming pool with a water slide, a separate hot tub, and a fitness centre. All are open to in-house guests but require a booked appointment (one 45-minute session per day per household). The pool area provides towels. The water slide is a highlight for families and children. The fitness centre is free to use. A golf course is within 3 km. There is no full-service spa on site, but the hot tub offers a relaxing alternative after a day of activity.

Free WiFi is available in rooms and public areas. On-site parking is free and includes underground heated parking, accessible spaces, and electric vehicle charging stations. The hotel operates a 24-hour front desk, express check-in/out, and luggage storage. Additional services include room service, a business centre with meeting/banquet facilities, and a self-service laundry room open 24/7. Daily housekeeping is free; dry cleaning and laundry are available for a fee. The property is wheelchair accessible with raised toilets, grab rails, and visual aids. Pets (dogs only) are allowed on request for a $20 nightly fee. Payment methods include American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Diners Club. A safety deposit box, key card access, and 24-hour security are in place for security.
