Situated on the western edge of Calgary, this hotel offers quick highway access to the Rocky Mountains, making it a strong base for trips to Banff and Lake Louise. Calgary's city centre, including the Calgary Tower and Scotiabank Saddledome, is about 12 minutes by car. Calaway Park is 11 km away, and the Calgary Zoo is roughly 15 minutes drive. Several restaurants, including McDonald's and Avenue 16 Kitchen & Bar, are within a 5-minute walk, and the Farmers' Market is within walking distance. Public transit provides a roughly one-hour connection to the Calgary Stampede grounds.

Accommodation includes a variety of configurations: standard rooms with a king or queen bed, family suites with a king bed and single beds in the common area, and spacious quad rooms with kitchenettes. Select suites feature a balcony or an in-room jacuzzi. All rooms include air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with cable, a tea and coffee maker, and a private bathroom with a tub or shower. Family suites feature two TVs and a separate living area. Some older rooms have worn carpets and dated furniture, but renovated rooms on the top floor offer contemporary décor and improved furnishings. Pillows are notably fluffy and may not suit all preferences.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available around the clock at Denny's, which is connected to the hotel via an indoor entrance. The restaurant offers a family-friendly atmosphere and serves a full menu including breakfast specials. Bar One Urban Lounge provides cocktails and light snacks for a more relaxed evening.
