HOLLYWOOD STARS INN, Los Angeles

The hotel sits on busy Sunset Boulevard, placing guests within easy reach of Hollywood's main attractions. The Hollywood/Western metro station (B Line) is a five-minute walk, providing direct service to Hollywood Walk of Fame (2 km), Universal Studios, and downtown LA. Bus stops are right outside. Grauman's Chinese Theatre is 3 km away, the Hollywood Sign is within 5 km, and the Hollywood Wax Museum is 3 km. The immediate area is dense with dining options: Thai Town, Leo's Taco Truck, Panda Express, and many casual eateries are within a few blocks. Across the street, a Target and Walgreens offer groceries and essentials. The neighbourhood has a visible homeless population, but the property maintains 24-hour security. For those driving, free parking is available on site, though spaces are limited.

The hotel offers both smoking and non-smoking rooms. Rooms are generally large and clean, though décor is dated and lighting can be dim in some areas. Each room includes air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV, a refrigerator, and a desk. There is no microwave or in-room coffee maker, but hot water and instant coffee are available at the reception. Bathrooms are private with basic toiletries. Noise is a common concern: walls are thin, and rooms facing Sunset Boulevard can be loud due to traffic and sirens. Requesting a room away from the street is advisable for light sleepers. The property has no elevator, so guests with mobility issues should request a ground-floor room. Daily housekeeping is provided. Some reports of stains or odors exist, but many describe the rooms as clean and comfortable for the price.

Hollywood Stars Inn does not operate a restaurant and does not serve breakfast. A vending machine with drinks is located on the second floor. Free instant coffee and hot water are provided at the reception during morning hours. For meals, the surrounding area offers a wide selection of dining options within a short walk, including Thai restaurants, Leo's Taco Truck, Panda Express, Pollo Campero, and several fast-food chains. The Target across the street has a grocery section for self-catering. Planning meals outside the hotel is recommended.
