HOME2 SUITES BY HILTON GAINESVILLE, Gainesville

The hotel is situated near Shands Hospital and the university, making it ideal for medical visits, campus events, and football games. A car is essential for most activities as public transport is limited and walkability to restaurants is poor (the nearest dining options are within 0.3-0.5 km but not practical on foot). Parking costs $7/day and must be reserved. Rooms facing the main road are subject to traffic noise; requesting an interior-facing room improves sleep quality.

All rooms include a kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator, microwave, and dishes, ideal for longer stays or self-catering. Bed configurations: two queen beds plus a sofa bed, or a separate bedroom suite with a queen bed and sofa bed. Private bathrooms feature showers. Some units have noticed occasional cleanliness issues (mold in showers, dusty surfaces) and temperature control problems. Rooms on the road side experience traffic noise; interior rooms are quieter. No king beds available.

The pool is equipped with sun loungers, umbrellas, and pool towels. It is fenced for safety. The fitness centre is small but functional. There is no spa or hot tub. The outdoor fireplace provides a gathering spot. The pool area is open all year.

Parking is $7/day with advance reservation. Pets allowed with a fee. Features include express check-in/out, key card access, safety deposit box, and a minimarket. Meeting/banquet facilities are available for a fee. No airport shuttle. Some variability in housekeeping thoroughness has been noted. The property has a lift and wheelchair-accessible rooms.
