HOMEWOOD SUITES BY HILTON COLUMBUS/POLARIS, Westerville

The hotel sits just off I-71 in Westerville's Polaris district, providing convenient highway access to downtown Columbus (23 km) and the airport (24 km). Alum Creek State Park and Lake are 16 km away. The immediate area is dense with restaurants, cafés, and shops-many within a 5-minute walk, including El Acapulco, First Watch, and Raising Cane's. Polaris Fashion Place mall is a short drive. Free on-site parking makes it easy to explore the region by car, though the interstate proximity may bring some traffic noise, especially in road-facing rooms.

Each suite features a fully equipped kitchen (stovetop, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, tea/coffee maker) and dining area. The separate living room includes a sofa bed (pull-out) and a 42-inch flat-screen cable TV. Bed configurations range from one king to two or three beds. En suite bathrooms come with free toiletries and a hairdryer. Renovated rooms offer modern décor and improved fixtures, while older rooms may show wear-request a renovated unit at check-in. The suites provide good separation of sleeping and living spaces, ideal for families or longer stays. Air conditioning, heating, and blackout curtains are standard.

Breakfast is served each morning in the lobby area and includes scrambled eggs (or omelettes), sausage, potatoes, make-your-own waffles, oatmeal, cereal, pastries, and beverages. The breakfast cost is covered in many rate plans; otherwise it is $12 per person. The seating area can become crowded, especially on weekends, so arriving early is advisable. For other meals, the hotel has no restaurant on site, but a 24-hour mini-market stocks snacks and drinks. The surrounding Polaris area offers dozens of dining options within a short walk or drive, including Tim Hortons, Subway, and Chop5.

The indoor heated pool is available Friday through Sunday from 8 AM to 11 PM. Guests sign up for a 45-minute slot at check-in to manage capacity. Pool/beach towels are provided. The adjacent fitness centre includes treadmills, ellipticals, and free weights-some equipment may show wear. For outdoor relaxation, the courtyard area has barbecue grills, outdoor furniture, and a basketball court. There is no spa or sauna on site. The pool and fitness centre are free for all guests.

Parking is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis; accessible parking spots are marked. Wi-Fi is complimentary throughout the property. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/out and can arrange grocery deliveries. A business centre provides fax/photocopying. Laundry and dry cleaning are available for an additional charge. Daily housekeeping is offered but has been noted as inconsistent; if room refresh is needed, contact the front desk directly. The property is fully non-smoking, has a lift, and features wheelchair-accessible rooms and bathrooms with grab rails. Safety includes key card access, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers. Pets are not permitted.
