Street noise can be noticeable in rooms facing the road, but the immediate setting is relatively calm.

The rooms are small, particularly when shared by three or more, making them best suited for those who spend most of the day outside. Furniture is older and often mismatched; storage is minimal, with no closets - luggage is typically kept on the floor. Beds are generally comfortable, though some double rooms consist of two single beds pushed together. Private bathrooms are available in selected rooms (confirm at booking); shared bathrooms are maintained with daily cleaning. Windows are old and lack soundproofing; street noise, neighbour noise and occasional construction can be heard clearly. Light sleepers may find ear plugs beneficial.
