HOTEL AM SEEHAFEN, Hamburg

The property sits in an industrial area surrounded by factories, an oil refinery and active rail lines. The nearest S-Bahn station is a 20-30 minute walk through a hilly, partly unlit area, which some travellers find uncomfortable after dark. By car, the A1 highway provides a direct connection. A bus stop within about 1 km offers an alternative to walking. Several restaurants are located about 1 km away: Ristorante Pizzeria Mercato, Shukria, Al Limone and others. The Old Elbe Tunnel is 12 km away and Hamburg Finkenwerder Airport is 17 km from the property.

The main kitchen is closed due to renovations, so no hot meals are prepared on site. A self-catering guest kitchen is provided, equipped with a coffee machine, microwave, kettle and basic utensils - ideal for preparing simple meals. Complimentary coffee and tea are available in the basement common room. Within 1 km, several restaurants such as Ristorante Pizzeria Mercato and Shukria offer dining options. A vending machine with drinks and snacks is available on site.

The sun terrace and garden are equipped with outdoor furniture and evening lighting, creating a pleasant spot to relax. The courtyard is partly sheltered and used by guests for sitting out. Inside, a games room with table football and board games is open to all guests. The location near the harbour allows for water activities such as boating, kayaking and canoeing in the surrounding area.

Wi-Fi is free in all areas and reported as fast and reliable. Parking is available on nearby streets at no cost, but an active construction zone directly in front of the property means parking is often unavailable immediately outside - guests may need to search in the surrounding industrial area or under a nearby bridge. The common room in the basement provides a TV, sofa, table football and complimentary tea and coffee. A guest kitchen is available for self-catering. Vending machines dispense drinks and snacks. Daily housekeeping is free; express check-in/out and private check-in/out are available. Safety features include CCTV in common areas and outside, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, key access and a security alarm. The property is wheelchair accessible and offers baby safety gates and board games for families.
