HOTEL B1, Berlin

Berlin-Kaulsdorf S-Bahn station is 15 minutes on foot or 3 minutes by bus, offering direct trains to Berlin's city centre. A bus stop is immediately adjacent to the hotel. The area is residential and generally quiet, though the annex building faces the busy B1/B5 road with constant traffic noise. Nearby amenities include Lidl and Aldi supermarkets within a 5-minute walk, Kaulsdorf Lakes for recreation, and an indoor playground (Monkey Town). The hotel provides free on-site parking, making it convenient for car travellers. The Berlin WelcomeCard can be purchased at reception for discounted public transport and attraction entry.

Room types include single, double, triple, and quadruple configurations, all with private shower rooms and heating. Furnishings are basic - wardrobe, bedside table, and carpeted floor. Windows open but provide limited soundproofing; rooms in the historic annex suffer from heavy traffic noise day and night, especially those facing the B1 road. No air conditioning means that in summer, open windows are the only cooling option, intensifying noise. Mattresses are reported as worn or overly firm in many rooms. Some units are located above an Asian restaurant, which can cause cooking smells and late-night noise from the family. Private bathrooms are functional but compact, and some have mould or drainage issues. The main building rooms are generally quieter. There is no lift, so upper-floor rooms require stair climbing. Guests needing a quiet sleep should request main building accommodation.

Wi-Fi is free and available in all rooms. Parking is free and does not require a reservation, but a self-filled permit must be displayed. Express check-in/out is available, and after reception hours a self-check-in terminal or smartphone key can be used. Key card access, CCTV, and smoke alarms provide security. A shared lounge/TV area is offered, and a vending machine (drinks/snacks) operates 24/7. Pets are allowed with additional charges. The hotel can provide invoices and sell public transport tickets (including the Berlin WelcomeCard). There is no elevator, no on-site restaurant, and no luggage storage. Cleaning is not performed during stays for some bookings; guests should confirm housekeeping frequency at check-in.
