HOTEL CLASS, Hamburg

The hotel is located in a Gewerbegebiet (industrial estate), providing a quiet setting that is well suited for a good night's sleep. While the immediate surroundings lack charm, the area is practical: Speicherstadt is 3 km away, Mönckebergstraße 4 km. The S-Bahn station Hamburg-Veddel (S3 line) is about 8 to 10 minutes on foot, offering a direct 7-minute ride to Hamburg Central Station and a 13-minute ride to the harbour. The location works well for cruise passengers (Steinwerder Cruise Terminal is nearby) and those arriving by car, thanks to ample free on-site parking. Public transport is reliable and frequent, making car-free city-centre exploration easy. Taxis from the Hauptbahnhof cost approximately 27 EUR.

The hotel offers double, family, and suite-style rooms, all featuring a private bathroom, air conditioning, heating, and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Many rooms are reported as large, with a seating area in some suites and family rooms. In-room amenities include an electric kettle with tea/coffee, a mini fridge, and a wardrobe. While the property is older and some fixtures show wear, the overall room size and equipment - especially the air conditioning - are positives for a comfortable stay. Rooms facing the courtyard are quieter; those facing the road may experience some industrial noise. Housekeeping is basic; guests preferring daily servicing should request it at reception. The lift is available but may occasionally be out of service. Smoke-free throughout, with a designated outdoor smoking area.

The breakfast buffet includes bread, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, cereals, yoghurt, fruit, boiled eggs, and a coffee machine offering various options. While the selection is sufficient for a standard hotel breakfast, those expecting a hot meal or a wider variety may find it basic. Packed lunches are available upon request. For evening meals, there are no hotel dining options. A Portuguese restaurant is within walking distance (at the Sportverein Juventude do Minho), and food delivery to the hotel is possible. The S-Bahn also provides quick access to Hamburg's extensive dining scene.

Wi-Fi is free in rooms and reported as reliable and high-speed. Parking is ample and directly in front of the hotel, a significant asset for drivers. The hotel has a lift, security features (CCTV, key access, smoke alarms), and offers invoice provision. Luggage storage is available, allowing guests to explore before check-in or after check-out. A late self-check-in process using a code is available for arrivals after 21:00. The reception team is noted as friendly and provides helpful local tips. No airport shuttle is available, and no pets are allowed. General amenities include a designated smoking area, family rooms, cot availability on request, and electric kettles in rooms.
