HOTEL FARINI, Rome

The hotel sits just off a main street, 200 metres from Roma Termini station, making it ideal for train arrivals and departures. Metro lines A and B are a 5-minute walk away, providing direct access to the Colosseum, Spanish Steps, and Vatican City (about a 10-minute Metro ride or a 20-30 minute walk to the Colosseum). A tram stop is located directly opposite, and numerous restaurants, shops, and a large supermarket are within a 5-minute walk. The area is considered safe, partly due to the adjacent police station.

Rooms are described as simply furnished and basic, with some being spacious. Each room includes a private bathroom (older but functional), air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV, minibar, electric kettle, and free Wi-Fi. Some rooms offer a patio with city views. The property has a lift, though it may only reach the second floor. Rooms are generally quiet at night despite the central location, though those near the entrance or lift can experience noise. Some rooms are on the ground floor in a separate internal courtyard. No rooms have a balcony.

The hotel offers a basic breakfast for an additional charge of 1 EUR. It is a self-service setup in the reception area, typically including a pre-packaged croissant and the ability to make your own coffee or tea. There is no dedicated breakfast room. The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar. Given the limited offering, the many restaurants, cafés, and a supermarket within a short walk provide practical alternatives for more substantial meals.

Services include free Wi-Fi in all rooms, free daily housekeeping, and free luggage storage. Express check-in/out and private check-in/out are available. The reception staff can arrange transfers and tours of the historic centre and surrounding attractions. Safety features include a safety deposit box, 24-hour security, CCTV in common areas, and key access. Business facilities include fax/photocopying. Car hire can be arranged. There is a designated smoking area. No parking is available on site.
