HOTEL FERTON, Milan

The hotel is approximately 500 metres from Milan Centrale railway station, where airport shuttle buses from Bergamo and Malpensa arrive. Repubblica metro station (line M3) is a 5-minute walk away, providing a two-stop ride to the Duomo. Tram stops are also nearby. The surrounding streets are lined with restaurants, cafés, and shops, with several highly rated eateries within a 300-metre radius. While the neighbourhood is not the most polished, it is safe and well-connected. The hotel does not provide its own airport shuttle, but shuttle buses to/from the airport operate from Centrale.

Room options range from compact singles (where the sink is located in the bedroom) to larger junior suites with separate seating areas and jacuzzi baths. Mattresses are generally firm; the property can provide extra padding on request. Heating and air conditioning may be inconsistent - heating is sometimes turned off overnight. Soundproofing between rooms is limited, so noise from neighbours or the corridor may be audible. Some bathrooms show signs of mould and general wear. Rooms on the upper floors are quieter, but the lift only serves floors 1-4; the fifth floor is reached via stairs. Daily housekeeping is provided, and free cots are available on request.

Breakfast is available from 07:00 and can be packed for early departures if arranged the night before. The selection is basic but sufficient for a quick start. The minibar in each room includes water and soft drinks at €3 per bottle. A bar is on site, and room service is available during limited hours. For guests seeking more variety, numerous restaurants and cafés are within a short walk, such as Pizzeria da Michele just around the corner. The hotel does not operate a full restaurant.

The hotel has no private parking. Public parking is available at Repubblica Parking (5-minute walk, €25 per 24 hours) or on street blue lines (€1.20 per hour, Monday-Saturday). The entrance has a few steps, and luggage assistance is not always available. The lift serves floors 1-4; the fifth floor is reached by stairs.
