The hotel is situated in the Esterhazygasse, a quiet street just 50 m from Mariahilfer Strasse and the U3 Zieglergasse metro station. The metro provides a direct 5-10 minute ride to Stephansdom and the Innere Stadt. The MuseumsQuartier and the Naschmarkt are within a 15-minute walk. The area is well served by supermarkets (Hofer), restaurants and cafes. For airport access, the U3 line connects to the Wien Mitte station with a direct CAT train, or to the Wien Hauptbahnhof stopping point for the Vienna Airport Lines bus. The street-facing rooms are quiet, but windows opened for ventilation can admit early-morning refuse-collection noise.

The hotel offers a mix of room standards. Superior rooms are larger (up to 23 m2), renovated, well-lit and equipped with comfortable beds, a mini-bar and a clean modern bathroom with either tub or shower. Standard rooms can be as small as 9-10 m2, have old furniture, stained carpeting, poor natural light and tiny bathrooms where the toilet is practically in the room. Windows in certain rooms may face an internal courtyard or a wall. Rooms vary significantly even within the same category - some are quiet and comfortable, others are hot, dark and noisy. No air conditioning is available; a floor fan is provided in superior rooms. The building has central heating. Housekeeping is daily and changes towels; cleaning of older rooms can be less thorough. A safe is provided in some rooms. The lift serves up to the fifth floor; rooms on the sixth require climbing stairs.

The breakfast buffet runs until 10:00 and offers a good spread: a choice of breads and pastries, cold cuts, cheeses, both scrambled and boiled eggs, fresh fruit (melon, pineapple, orange, apples), vegetables, yogurt, cereals, a samovar for tea, a coffee machine (latte, cappuccino) and sparkling wine. During peak occupancy the breakfast room can become crowded, so early or late arrival is advisable. The same room transforms into Barfly's - a well-stocked American-style cocktail bar in the basement, popular for evening drinks. A mini-market is available on site for basic snacks and drinks. Several casual dining options (MySchnitzel, McDonald's, a schnitzel house) lie within a 3-minute walk.
