HOTEL GALLERIA, Munich

The hotel sits in a quiet residential area of Thalkirchen, 5 km south of Munich's centre. The U3 line at Obersendling (8-minute walk) provides a direct 10-minute ride to Marienplatz and the Theresienwiese Oktoberfest grounds. The Tierpark Hellabrunn zoo is within walking distance. For drivers, the hotel offers free on-site parking (no reservation), and the A96 motorway is close by. Several restaurants and a bakery are within 500 metres, making dining nearby a practical option. The Messe München trade fair is a 20-minute drive away.

The daily breakfast buffet includes bread, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, cereals, fruit, coffee, and tea - sufficient for a simple start but not lavish. The breakfast room is in the basement with limited natural light, and during busy periods it can feel cramped. Service at breakfast can be slow, with plates replenished sparingly. Small snacks are offered throughout the day, but there is no full restaurant on site. Several restaurants and a bakery are within a short walk for other meals.

No wellness centre, sauna, or pool are available. There is a small garden with outdoor furniture, and a golf course is within 3 km for an additional charge. For leisure, Tierpark Hellabrunn zoo is a short distance away, and the city centre is easily reached via the nearby U-Bahn.

Facilities include free WiFi throughout, free private parking on site (first-come, first-served), valet parking, luggage storage, express check-in/out, and a safety deposit box. Daily housekeeping is included; dry cleaning and ironing are available for an extra charge. The hotel offers car hire assistance, a tour desk, and an invoice service. Business services are limited to fax/photocopying (free). The reception is not staffed 24 hours, but late-arrival access codes can be arranged. Rooms are non-smoking and soundproofed, with family rooms and cots available. A safety deposit box, CCTV, and key card access are in place. No airport shuttle is offered.
