HOTEL GENZIANELLA, Florence

Hotel Genzianella sits on the 3rd floor of an older building near Piazza della Libertà, within easy walking distance of Santa Maria del Fiore (the Duomo) and other central attractions (approximately 10-15 minutes on foot). The Convent of San Marco is 500 metres away, and Fortezza da Basso is 1 km from the property. Florence Airport is 5 km away. A tram stop is right outside, and bus line 11 runs to Firenze SMN station. The area is well-served by shops, supermarkets, and several restaurants and cafés within a few hundred metres. The walk to the centre is straightforward and pleasant, making taxis or buses unnecessary for most visitors.

Hotel Genzianella does not have an on-site restaurant or serve breakfast. A nearby bar (Caffè Lietta, under the arches in Piazza della Libertà) provides a full breakfast including pastries and cappuccino for about €5 per person. Drinks and snacks are available from the vending machines at the property. Within a short walk there are several cafés, a trattoria (Trattoria Za Za is about 1 km away), a gelateria, and a fast-food option, giving plenty of choice for other meals without needing to go far from the hotel.

This property does not offer a spa, swimming pool, or dedicated wellness facilities. Leisure time is best spent exploring Florence's historic centre on foot, which is easily reachable.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property, though its strength can vary between rooms. Daily housekeeping is provided at no extra charge. The hotel offers luggage storage (check availability with staff), lockers, and express check-in/out. A shared lounge/TV area is on-site, along with vending machines for drinks and snacks. A lift (very small) serves the 3rd-floor location. Safety features include 24-hour security, CCTV in common areas, and key-card access. Pets are allowed on request with possible charges. The property is non-smoking and has allergy-free rooms available.
